WATCH YOUR CLAIMS - MEDICARE COULD BE DELETING THEM ~ READ YOUR ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION REPORTS!

Medicare are deleting any and all claims upon receipt for the following reasons:

  • Primary Physician’s NPI is missing
  • Primary Physician has listed a SSN as a tax ID number

What to do:

  • Add the Primary Physician’s NPI to your claims
  • Suppress the SSN from being sent to Medicare

Had a few zero balance warrants from Medi-Cal this year?

Medi-Cal have experienced a few technical problems during the transfer from legacy numbers to NPI numbers.  The claims on the RAD will read as processed with an amount to be paid, but at the end of the column, it will read a negative amount and zero to be paid.  The RAD references “a negative beginning balance”.  You will likely find there is not a negative balance against your account.

Medi-Cal has assured us (!) that all payments due on these zero balance warrants, are going to be paid very shortly.
